Obama needs to learn to listen

When Obama died, George Washington met him at the Pearly Gates.  He slapped him across the face and yelled, "How dare you try to destroy the Nation I helped conceive?"

Patrick Henry approached, punched him in the nose and shouted, "You wanted to end our liberties but you failed."

James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin and said, "This is why I allowed our government to provide for the common defense!"

Thomas Jefferson was next, beat Obama with a long cane and snarled, "It was evil men like you who inspired me to write the Declaration of Independence."

The beatings and thrashings continued as George Mason, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans unleashed their anger on the radical, socialist, leader.

As Obama lay bleeding and in pain, an Angel appeared.  Obama wept and Said, "This is not what you promised me."

The Angel replied, "I told you there would be 72 VIRGINIANS waiting for you in Heaven.  What did you think I said?" . . . "You really need to listen when someone is trying to tell you something

FIND OUT WHERE THE MONEY IS WASTED AND CUTS THAT ARE BEING MADE IN OTHER STATES IN BREAKING NEWS SECTION TODAY

July 8, 2010.

This was just posted on the web site for my High School Class Reunion and the numbers are very scary and do let us know that the WAR ON POVERTY is working in REVERSE.

Thanks for all of the efforts on this site.  I was looking at the salery and price of a car. IF we use the same percentages as 1965, todays average car is priced at $27,958.00 so our average salery in the US should be $68,217.52 and in reality is just a little under $30,000.00.  Looks like the war on poverty has made poverty worse.  We are fixing to retire in this mess.

the web site for the reunion and post is http://www.northbuncombehighschool1965.com/?page_id=2&cpage=1#comment-10

Go to the Corruption Section to read about voter fraud in Swain County. Documented and no news media in Buncombe County will cover.  What is the problem???.

I am back on this site as I have been off due to the primary race.  Yes, I lost and the media is pointing out how many times I have run for office.  Michael Muller a so called political know it all does not even know where I live (he placed me in Leicester). The papers talked about how many times I had run for office.

Well it was good enough for Abe Lincoln so why not try it? So lets tell the whole story and get it right since most reporters did not get it right.

First I ran for Chairman of the County Commissioners as a Democrat in 2000.  Primary against Tom Sobol.

I got 33% (about 4000) of the vote and then put my support behind Nathan Ramsey and he won by 700 votes.

Second I ran again for Chairman of County Commissioners as a Democrat in 2004.

The Party did a three way ticket running a progressive, Ed Hay and myself.  I got less this time as a result of a three way race.  Harry Maroni ran for a regular seat and was lied to by Bill Stanley.  A lady filed and then pulled out of the race and left her name on the ballot.  This is another Democrat trick.

It was at this time I went to my second County Convention and signed up to go to the State Democratic Convention.

At the State Convention they discussed an animal rights addition to the  platform and also discussed adding paying for abortions with tax dollars.  This disturbed me and I decided to read the entire party platforms of both parties.  I did and came home and changed my registration to Republican.

I was not welcomed by the party as the Democrats had already informed the Rhinos about my tendency to speak my mind and be up front.  That is not what most politicians like.  As a matter of fact in this state a lot of Republicans were satisfied picking up the crumbs from the table of the Leaders of the Democrat party.  Attorneys played both ends against the middle.  Business people were tied up in the game and were afraid to stand up against the corruption.

Non-profits were used to buy votes and  elected office holders were glad to give pork to these non-profits. We even formed the Pack Square Conservancy to build the $8 million new park infront of the Court House and City Building and it now is at $23 million and still not finished.  We dug up concrete and repoured concrete and I can remember when the non-profit said they would do it with private donations. Immediately they got $200,000 from the City, $2 million from the County and $4 million from Federal funds.

Now as a Republican in 2006 I ran for Clerk of Court.

I ran because the Republican Party would not challenge Bob Christy and of course Mr. Christy, the new garbage Czar that unseated Bill Stanley as garbage Czar, had protected his buddy Bill Stanley when he physically and verbally assualted me in 2000. What is the difference in that and what Congressman Bob Etheridge (D-NC) did???  But no coverage here in the paper.   Christy called the magistrate's office and told them not to let me take out a warrent on the sitting county commissioner even though he had physically attacked me and called me a SOB.

In 2008 I ran for County Commissioner, winning a primary race and losing in the general along with Nathan Ramsey and all other candidates.

In 2010 I lost in the primary running against a previous sitting Senator who had run against Martin Nesbit more than once.  I wish him well on this try as Martin has lined up some heavy hitters to support him.  Rumor has it that he may have cut some deals with some rhinos. You know the tricks that politicians play.

So Michael Muller and Matt Mittan please get it right I have not run for the same office twice.  I was a Democrat in the first two races.  I took on some heavy hitters and ran against folks that most people would not challenge in both parties.  How many offices have you run for Mr. Muller and Mr. Mittan.

Until you put your butt on the line you may wish to keep your trap shut or continue to blow off and prove the blowhards  you really are.  I have put my races on this web site so now all can see and any newcomer to the reporting scene or the next hero of the printed media will not have to wonder or put out guess work, Michael.  You can call me and ask any question as I have not refused to answer anyone.

For those in doubt I will continue to do what I do.  I will not be able to be on the tv show on Wednesday for 5 nights as I will be teaching Environmental Science.  We need to get people to be able to think critically and not blindly follow Al Gore or any one person.   We need thinkers and up front people not someone that hides behind a mike or written word.

Lies and more Lies being told by progressives and they will go to any length to try to twist the truth. Wake up folks this is war with the dark side.

SEE THE DARK SIDE IN ACTION

the following was put up on the "scrutiny hooligans" web site and discovered by Citizens Speak at 12:00 noon and a link send to several media outlets.  At 12:00 midnight is was down and several others had addressed this distasteful so called joke by the City Council person Gordon Smith.

You must decide if it is a joke or just typical "so called progressive slamming".  I thank members of the Tea Party group for also addressing this action.

WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO SPEAK OUT!!!!

Another example of a "joke"!!!!

Yes the way of today is to twist the truth and it was done on the City Council by Gordon Smith.

Please look at or review the questions asked by the Mayor of Gordon and the staff.  She questioned whether Charlotte had implemented the same sex partner benefits as she did not find that in data provided to her. The answer was it was adopted but would not be implemented for at least one year.

I have always said this was a case of special conditions for a special class of people and not equal rights.

Now here are some questions that the council must consider.

1.  Will it offer the same insurance package to a heterosexual couple living together?

2. What gives the City the right to define a legal relationship for insurance benefits if the State does not recognize the benefit?  After all the State has an insurance commissioner that oversees the rules, etc.  What gives the State the right to define a relationship if not a contract?

3. Will it offer the same benefits to a brother and brother living together?

4. Will it offer the same benefits to a son living with his mother to take care of her? Any variation of the same conditions.

As you can see this is creating a special class of people for special benefits not equal rights but unequal rights to others while benefiting a class with special privilages because of a behavior that they deem proper.

THIS GROUP HAS GOT

 IT RIGHT!!!

   THE  AMERICAN PATRIOT MOVEMENT

 www.hoosierpatriots.org

Hoosier Patriots, Inc. provides resources for all patriots and patriotic organizations. We will continue to work with "Tea Party Patriots", "9-12ers", "We the People", "Silent No More", and many, many others. All are equally patriotic and important. All share similar conservative values, and all want to take our country back from those who would change this nation into a Marxist, Socialist, or Progressives country, regardless of what political party.

While we are all in this together, we believe in the strategy that developing coalitions of many patriotic organizations only serves to weaken our mutual goals. The opposition is counting on us to combine so they can split the patriot movement by attacking single leadership. We cannot give them that opportunity. We must remain essentially a "leaderless movement". It worked in Massachusetts.

But, we patriots are together, even though we come from all different directions. Here is what Hoosier Patriots, Inc. will do:

In the future, Hoosier Patriots, Inc. will honor all patriots and patriotic organizations in this effort by referring to everyone under the generic term: American Patriot Movement. No longer will we use "Tea Party" to refer to everyone in the movement. No longer will we use "9-12ers" as a generic name for this movement. Of course, when we refer to a specific group we will certainly use the proper name of that organization, recognizing it, too, is a part of the American Patriot Movement. ….We‟re all in this together.

CURRENT CALL TO

 ACTION

call all NC Senators and Representatives and ask them if they will vote the same as the 25 states in the following article. Will tell you who to vote for.

25 States Standing up to Obamacare – Why not North Carolina?

Popular sentiment is that final passage of the Obamacare Frankenstein is inevitable.  Reform in its near final form is far from that which was promised by the Obama administration, in that many will be forced out of their private insurance, costs will rise, care will be rationed, and millions will be left uninsured.

Further, contrary to traditional congressional procedure, it has become evident that the differences in the House and Senate bills will be resolved outside of conference and behind closed doors.

It seems that all conservatives are left to grapple with are calls for greater transparency, while they cling to the claim that bipartisanship is dead.  But is this really the endgame?

Of all the proposed changes, the inclusion of individual mandates in both the House and Senate bills is one of the most oppressive elements of the health care overhaul.  Individual mandates have been a sticking point in the health care debate since the presidential primaries, and was in fact one of the central elements that distinguished the Obama and Clinton platforms.  In the campaign, then candidate Obama was set against individual mandates, acknowledging that they had the potential to result in more harm than good.

President Obama should listen to candidate Obama. A report by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services confirms that even with the inclusion of individual mandates, the Senate bill would leave 19 million people uninsured while further burdening this group with $29 billion in additional taxes and penalties.

Is there any way to hold the congressional Democrats accountable for these broken promises and misguided reform plans? A few states have decided they will not sit back and await destructive “reform.” Arizona is one of the most striking examples. It has developed its own legislation, HCR 2014, which will be put on the ballot in the 2010 election. The resolution blocks any effort that forces the state’s residents to enroll in a government run insurance plan, that restricts a person’s ability to purchase private insurance, or that interferes with the right to pay directly for medical services.  Most importantly the legislation blocks any effort to penalize individuals or businesses that decline health coverage.

Massachusetts, a precursor state in implementing individual mandates, has seen its health care costs increase by 42 percent in the two years since their implementation, and continues to grapple with nearly a quarter of a million people still lacking health insurance coverage in the state.

Arizona’s proposed legislation does more than just attempt to block Obamacare’s misguided reform efforts; it also proposes alternative reforms that will actually lower the cost of health care and increase accessibility in the state.  A few of these reforms include allowing for the purchase of health insurance across state lines, extending tax breaks to those who purchase their own private insurance, and eliminating sales and premium taxes on HSA eligible plans.

Arizona is not the only state to propose legislation protecting its citizens from Obamacare’s liberty-eroding mandates. Thirteen other states have also filed or pre-filed similar legislation including: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Wyoming.  In addition 10 states - Alaska, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, New Hampshire,Oklahoma, Montana, Tennessee, and Utah have announced intentions to move forward with similar legislation in 2010.

Notably absent from that list is North Carolina - a state that faces a possible $600 million in new expenses as a result of the proposed Medicaid expansion included in the Obamacare reform plan. This will surely be an unwelcome added financial burden in a state already feeling the pinch of more than a billion dollars in new taxes enacted a few months ago.

The question is what is North Carolina waiting for? The health care overhaul has proven to be so unpopular with the American people that legislatures are ramming bills through Congress on Christmas Eve, going back on their promises to televise debates on C-SPAN and make legislation publicly available before a vote, and circumventing the customary procedure of conference in drafting the final bill.

Amidst the incredible lack of transparency there is distinct clarity – it is now up to the states to take matters into their own hands, carry the voice of the American people and counter the evolving monster of government-run health care before it consumes even more of our freedom.

Yes it does make a difference if you are it.

Dear jonnie,

Yesterday at 1:30 p.m. two very different meetings occurred. On the grounds of the United States Capitol, thousands of grassroots activists from across the nation rallied in a park with the media present. Our message to the Senate was simple: "Keep your hands off our health care!"

Meanwhile, at the White House, President Obama, Majority Leader Harry Reid, other liberal Senators and their special interest allies met behind closed doors to cut political deals, twist arms and plot strategy -- all to get their health care takeover bill across the finish line and out of the Senate.

At our open air rally, Laura Ingraham, Dr
. Tom Coburn, Sen. Jim DeMint, Sen. Richard Burr, Sen. Johnny Isakson, Jim Martin of 60 Plus, and our Tea Party Patriot friends Jenny Beth Martin and Mark Meckler detailed our reasons for opposing this disastrous health care takeover while urging Americans to stay in the fight for our freedoms. Across the nation, thousands more Americans went to the local offices of their U.S. Senators with the same message.

Meanwhile, at the White House, the President and his political friends negotiated in secret. Cut their deals in secret. And tried to buy votes in secret. (don't forget David Gant and the others that took a vote in secret to do away with prayer and this was in Buncombe County, North Carolina and you don't have to drive too far to get to the next meeting on January 5, 2009. green added by Don Yelton)

The contrast could not be more clear. And,

that's why the American people are with us. Ever wonder if your grassroots efforts make a difference? Well, let me give you two numbers: 61 and 44.

CNN -- hardly a conservative front group --

recently reported that 61% of the American  people now OPPOSE the Washington health care "reform" effort. Support for the health care takeover is literally in free fall.

The second number: Gallup Polling Company

reports that President Obama's personal approval rating is down to just 44% -- the lowest level in history for a President still in his first year.

President Obama has made this ill-advised
health care takeover his top priority, and the American people are telling the President loud and clear to stop now. Sadly, he's not listening.

I could tell you so many stories from today's
rally at the Capitol. But, I'll hold at just two.

As the rally ended and the thousands of

activists headed for their Senators' offices to deliver their message one-on-one, a young man in a baseball cap walked up to me and said "I'm from Jersey and I closed up my pizza shop for the day to come down here to send a message. Times may be hard but I can always make up the money later and I don't want my children to live under government-run health care". With that, he introduced me to his young son. Minutes later, a retired gentleman from North Carolina holding an American flag (a big one) came up to me, shook my hand and said, "This is the third time I've come to Washington, D.C. this year and I'll come again if I have to. I fought in Korea for freedom and now I'm fighting for freedom again. I've never quit at anything in my life and I'm too old to quit at something now!" He gave me a big bear hug and then marched off for the long ride home.

I walked back to my car with that combat
veteran's words ringing in my ears, "I've never quit at anything in my life..."

He's right. We're not going to quit. Harry Reid and President Obama and Speaker

Pelosi are trying to sell "inevitability." The idea that this health care takeover cannot be stopped. We've stopped it since the August recess, through Labor Day, then through October, then to Thanksgiving. Now, we're just over a week from Christmas. They can be stopped. And, you and I and folks across America are the ones who are standing in the gap for our freedoms.

 Thank you.

Sincerely,

Tim

PS: No matter what announcements and pronouncements come from Obama, Reid,Pelosi and company,-- keep focused on delivering our message through calls, emails, and personal visits to your Senate and House offices. And, now more than ever, get your friends to do the same.

Esteem turns to poison

During a state Senate debate years ago, a frustrated "Uncle Ralph" Scott, the plain-spoken brother of one governor and the uncle of another, put it bluntly: "I don't know the smooth language lawyers use, but somebody's lyin'."

It was evident last week that somebody was lying before the State Board of Elections. Much of the drama focused on contradictory testimony from former Gov. Mike Easley and McQueen Campbell, the former chairman of the N.C. State University trustees.

The two men's starkly different stories will likely play out in the coming weeks as state and federal investigators continue investigating whether Easley misused his position to get a sweetheart land deal, a free car, illegal plane rides and other benefits.

The Easley and Campbell families had been close for decades. Easley rose in politics as a Brunswick County district attorney, while the Campbells were prominent Bladen County business leaders. Easley watched young McQueen grow up, and he took him under his wing.

When Easley wanted to get somewhere fast, Campbell flew him in his plane. When Easley wanted repairs on his private home, he asked Campbell to take care of it. When his wife, Mary, wanted a job at NCSU, he asked Campbell to help make it happen.

In return, Easley helped move Campbell into the fast lane of big-time politics, business and academia.

That relationship has now turned poisonous.

State and federal investigators have been circling Easley, and it seems evident that they have gotten Campbell to cooperate.

On Monday, a stone-faced Campbell unloaded on his old mentor. Campbell, 38, said he had provided free, unreported flights for Easley for years. He also said he repaired Easley's private residence and falsely billed Easley's political committee for the work, charging it as a campaign flight and then filing a bogus insurance claim.

Appearing before the board on Wednesday, Easley, 59, strongly denied Campbell's testimony. He said that Campbell had assured him that the flights were paid for, and that in no way had he approved the filing of the insurance claim.

Easley and his lawyer, Thomas Hicks, began trying to discredit Campbell. Hicks referred to Campbell several times as a "young man" and compared him to a teenaged boy who, once he starts telling a lie, can't stop. Easley and his lawyer noted that Campbell has told contradictory stories in public.

At another point, Hicks referred to Campbell as a "sycophant," which the dictionary describes as a servile person who tells lies against a fellow citizen for a kind of profit.

Why, Hicks asked at one point, would a two-term governor, two-term attorney general and former prosecutor risk his reputation and possibly his liberty for a few thousand dollars in house repairs, when his political campaign could have paid for them?

(WHY????  BECAUSE  HE FELT HE COULD GET AWAY WITH IT.  LOOK WHO WAS THE CHAIR OF THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS AND HOW MANY RHINO'S COMPLEMENTED THAT LEAKE WAS DOING A GOOD JOB.  THEY ALL ARE COVERING FOR EACH OTHER.  ANYONE KNOWS THAT YOU CAN'T DEPEND ON A CROOK.  THERE FORE LET CAMPBELL AND EASLEY EAT EACH OTHER.  DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE SHOW PUT ON BY LEAKE AND COMPANY.  these comments by Don Yelton.)

But several members of the State Elections Board openly wondered: Why would Campbell invent such a story, in which he was implicating himself in part of an illegality?

(TOO COVER HIS OWN BUTT AND GET A GOOD DEAL.  HE HAS PROVEN HE WILL DO ANYTHING FOR A DEAL, JUST LIKE EASLEY.   these comments by Don Yelton)

Now state and federal authorities, like Uncle Ralph, have to figure out who is lyin'.

rob.christensen@newsobserver.com or 919-829-4532  Thanks to the newsobserver for the story but keep digging on Leake and why he went first.  (Don Yelton November 1, 2009.

Which are you, conservative or liberal?

Could you use leader or leaner instead?

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn`t buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life..
If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative  is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it’s a foreign religion, of course!)

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarrassed.
If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues.

If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.

liberal will delete it because he's "offended".

Just maybe conservative and liberal does not mean what we think or assume it does!!!!
